Good deal from where I'm sitting if it all works well and the power supply is a good model.

The SSD is probably near end of life, but I am hopeful for the Hard Drive. The processor is actually still quite competent. The GTX 560 is not going to make you very happy so you will probably want to replace it soon, it would also behoove you to know if your PSU is a quality unit or not but overall I probably would say yes if I had another few hundred to get a better GPU. Try talking him down to the $400 USD range

I agree with Tim the 560 is weak sauce, could try to tell him you don't want the card and see if he will lower the price with out it. If the SSD is the boot drive, and I don't see why it wouldn't be, make sure the get the OS key or clone the drive be for it dies.

Your getting the monitor as well? If so $600 isn't bad. Just save up for a new GPU.

Thanks Guys, forgot to mention that it has a Coolermaster Extreme-2 725 PSU. And yes it comes with the monitor. Think I might snap it up as the Peripherals are worth close to $200

Replace the gpu with the GTX 750ti. The GTX 750Ti is a very good budget GPU. If your budget allows, you can get the GTX 970 or even the 980.

You will need an SSD as well. This 128GB will do the job.

That build is a very good deal. the cpu is also pretty good. About mid-high range.

1. The SSD is too small (only 60GB). Maybe you don't need that much but most people use do. Of course, you can install programs on your HDD but some force you to install to C:. Plus, you will install some apps you use often to the SSD.
2. The SSD may have been used for a long time. SSDs generally have a shorter lifespan.

Hope this helps!

I would recommend the R9 270X over the 750ti. It is a better performing card and his power supply is a decent 725watt unit. For the best bang for the buck the R9 280X is probably the best thing going. You can just go down this list and get the card appropriate to your budget.

Because 60GB is very small for an operating system drive. I have minimal programs on my PC and I use about 90GB. Also 60GB SSD's were only being bought when 120GB SSD's were more expensive meaning it is probably an older drive and should be replaced as your boot drive so that you will have desired performance for longer.

His PSU only has 28A on the 12V rail. Is that enough for the R9? Also, I noticed that it is more expensive. Of course, the R9 performs much better.
