help with cheap build

I am building budget pc. I already have a gpu and storage. Budget it about $230. Biggest question is fx6300 or an i3. I was considering the i3 because I could upgrade to a significantly better cpu. But I'm slacking on the mobo so should I go with the 6300 and build a whole new intel pc when I have the money?

Is this just for gaming because me personally I would go for the i3, I would rather getting the future upgradablity and better performance in games but if you want to do video editing the fx 6300 will destroy it.

It's for gaming. Should I use an i5 or i7 in such a crappy mobo? I have an old gt 630 that should work until I have money for a 760

If you plan to upgrade your intel processor get a h97 motherboard so you have the option of upgrading to the next generation of intel CPUs as well.

If you can afford it go up to a i5 4460. For gaming a quad core processor is very useful.
