Help with connecting 2+ fans to 1 motherboard fan connector

I bought a coolermaster haf 912 to replace my hp case because that case has only 1 fan and you can't add any more while the 912 has 2 and you can add 4 more. Before installing the new case I hooked the connector to my fan and motherboard and power supply and the fan just went crazy going at 100% speed, the fan was also not recognized which was strange. Also I currently have an hp motherboard and the fan is 3pin. How can I get the fan to be recognized u the motherboard and have it change speed based on the cpu temperature like the splitter adveratized? (Sorry if I used wrong motherboard and fan terms, I don't have a lot of experience with them)

It's extremely loud at full speed and im afraid that it would die quickly at that speed, would a Y splitter work?

When I build with a HAF 912 I replace the front fan with a 200MM fan it really cuts the noise down.

Thx, I realised the fan I was testing it with was 90mm, is 12v too much for it? Is that why it was really loud?

90mm fans are usually high RPM and yes their loud. The 912 don't come with 90mm fans use the fans that came with the case.
