HELP with connecting Camera to computer VIA USB.

I just got a Sony DSC-T70, and I installed the software on my computer. The software won't activate until I can connect my camera to it via USB, and whenever I connect it, it just keeps saying "connecting...". It never connects, and I can either connect it to pictbridge, mass storage device, or automatic. I go with automatic, but it never connects. What's going on, is there any way to connect it?

But did you choose mass storage device? That should work to connect your sony to your computer. Once connected as mass storage device, you can browse your files in the memory card of your sony. If not thing helps, check again with your dealer.
