Hello all, after taking some advice from a member on this forum, I bought some new computer hardware. After getting everything installed, and even after going through the manual, I still can't these "header pins" or whatever they're called. It's pretty much all of those like "PLED", "PWRBTN", or the reset one. Pictures will be up shorty.
Here is my setup:
ASRock z77 Extreme 6
Intel i5 3570k processor
600w Power supply(can't think of brand)
Corsair vengeance 4GB*2

Thank you!

Look at page 14 of your manual. The motherboard is pictured and there is a list of the m/b connections (headers) below. For instance, "PLED" is power on led on the front of your case -- on your mother board, it is connection #20 on the lower right. The diagram shows a 3-pin connector.

Thanks for all the quick replies, but on my old case the front panel pins are different than the one I just got from a family member. Both are decently old. Should I just get a new one?

power led labeled "power led" on the plug would go= just above the power switch on the board itself labeled PLED1, the green wire being to the left.

HDD light labeled " H.D.D LED" on the plug would go= bottom two, left side pins, the red wire will go tot he left side.

the power button labeled "Power SW" will go top pins 3 & 4. number 1 starting from the left. the wire position does not matter.

the reset button labeled "Reset SW" will go bottom pins 3 & 4 just to the right of the HDD LED plug. the wire position does not matter.

the speaker will go on a totally different header. the header you are looking for is just to the right of the header for the power, reset, Hdd, and power LED header. It is labeled Speaker and is just above the Power and reset switches on the board itself. the red wire will go to the left.

now with these directions my son at 6 years old can do this. I have given you all you need to complete your task on your own. exact pages from the manual diagrams, and have said exactly where to put the wires.

please let us know if there is any more we can help you with.

Ok bgunner did that. It still won't turn on! Is there anthing else I should check? Also, after checking I saw that they gave me a extreme 4 manual. Is there a difference? I just got the 6 because it was recommended.

Thanks

If you took the Pics you posted, you have an Extreme 4 board. On the Bios chip it even says extreme 4.

Like many different things Manufactures like to make as few manuals as necessary and will use the same manual for a few boards with similar features.
