Hi,
So I know there is a lot of hate for Corsair link due to the amount of bugs and stuff but I would like to give it a go :)
Firstly, do I need to download corsair link for both my AX760i and my H100i or can I just download the corsair link software and it will detect mt psu and cpu cooler?
Secondly, how do I update the software/firmware for both my AX760i and H100i? And can I do this through Cosair Link?
Finally, what other alternatives would you recommend for fan control etc?

Cheers!
Ben

Specs:
Intel Core i5 4690K
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz
WD Black 1TB
Asus Maximus VII Hero
GTX 970
AX760i
H100i
LOTS OF FANS :)

Solution
1. Installing it once will detect for both the PSU and H100i. That is how I have it with my H100i and AX860i.

2. Yes you do it through Corsair Link. It will let you know if there is a firmware update.

3. Not a lot of decent software fan cooling solutions that I know of. Best would be a hardware based fan controller:

I actually don't mind the Corsair Link. No real issues with it except that with Windows 8.1, the LED wont stay the color I want it to on reboot but that is being fixed in a later patch.

Solution
I did have some problems with the Link sw (ASUS P9X79 WS, H100i), after searching forums it seems the sw can conflict with other apps that use the mbd sensors, though this is apparently partly Windows' fault.

If you do have problems, one solution is to use the mbd vendor's sw suite instead, and indeed I had good success using ASUS AI Suite to control the H100i and all the other fans, though without the pump colour-changing feature.

So I guess from what jimmysmitty says, it's worth trying to get it to work, but if you can't then you can always use AI Suite instead.

Ian.

Assuming that you have all the connectors plugged in correctly, then yes, you can simply download the Corsair Link SW and all Corsair hardware that have Link enabled should get detected as soon that you launch the app.

You don't really need to update the PSU's , but you do have to update the H100i's if there is a new one OR if it's recommended. You can always do this within the Corsair Link Software.

There is temporary work around for this bug, it's surely worth a shot. Try what I have suggested on this thread.

Under RGB LED set-up in Corsair Link, try putting the other 2 values to "1" instead of "0". For example, if you choose the pump to be red, put the red value all the way up to 255, then change blue and green to 1, not 0. Save that under the profile you created then reboot. See if that will keep the last color you saved.
