Help with cpu upgrade please

Hi I recently bought a gtx 1050ti and was thinking about getting a g4560. Please help me decide if this is a wise choice. Im upgrading from a core 2 quad please also tell me if I will be getting an fps boost?

Whether you'll get an FPS boost depends on whether your CPU bottlenecks your GPU right now or not - if it does, a G4560 will increase FPS. It'll be better if you either get an i5 instead or shift over to the Ryzen platform - the first would be my choice since you seem to be on a tight budget and probably don't want to change your motherboard. Also, please list your whole system specs for better suggestions as well. But in general a G4560 would make things better.

G4560 is a superb budget gaming processor and perfectly suited to run with a GTX1050ti.

If there is any caveat, the word is out and G4560 seems to be selling at higher than list prices. Shop around, You may find G4600 or I3-7100 at a similar price.
