Help with display resolution

Im a little bit confused with display resolution, I see that in phones there are different PPI ammount but same resolution and same screen size, why do phones that have higher PPI just dont say its a 2560x1440 screen?

Because you need to actually list both. You just have to dig it up in the specs you can have several screens with the same res. that are different ppi.
