Help With Doubling Current System RAM

My desktop system is a couple years old, motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 and 2 x 2GB modules OCZ Reaper memory installed. I'm running Win7 64 bit and I'd like to double the RAM to max the system out. Unfortunately I can't find the same RAM on the market anymore.

So my question - can I (should I) buy 4 GB more RAM of another brand and add it to what I have? If so, which modules? OR should I just buy 8 GB of new RAM (4 x 2GB all same) to assure compatibility? Any advice and direction would be much appreciated! Thanks.

A few possible add-on options I've looked at based on the specs and what I know (but none are an exact match).

I've never tried to pair two different brands of RAM in a system, but, from what I've gathered from these forums, most would probably advise you to just purchase 8GB of new RAM to assure compatability and to save yourself some headaches.

The price of DDR2 is so high. If you can afford buy 8gb. Don't risk to spend your money on some memory with what you can have compatibilty issues with your existent RAM.
