I've had occasional bsod's and after my most recent one I ran Driverview from Nirsoft.
It shows 3 entrys with dump_*.sys in them:

dump_atapi.sys
dump_dumpata.sys
dump_dumpfve.sys

All are listed as "Unknown" under File Type and have N/A under the date fields.

Could someone tell me what these are for ?

The thee files in question relate to either a hardware device such as a Dvd rom drive or a Hard disk drive.

Atapi. sys is part of the interface driver software for the two hardware devices stated above.
The mode or type of communication or interface standard used for data reading and writing from the interface.

Ata.sys and fve.sys also.

What does it mean.
That the interface mode set up of Atapi.sys or the driver is corrupted in some way or needs to be re installed from the motherboard driver support dvd.

As part of the motherboards chipset driver installation.

Due to the driver being corrupted, or the chipset driver not being installed from the provided motherboard support Dvd disk provided.

I suggest you re install the chipset...

Or if you never used it thinking windows had got all of the correct drivers when it was installed.

For 100% compatibility with the os always install the drivers from the motherboard driver dvd that came with it.

Or use the brand name, and model number of your motherboard and download the chipset driver for the motherboard from the manufacturers website and driver support section for your model number of motherboard you have.

The driver from the support website for your motherboard may be a higher or newer version set of drivers adding more stability or compatibility for your system, or motherboard.
