Hey guys, i saw that my monitor could do 1080p 75hz but it only has a 60hz option in the nvidia control panel. I use a dvi d single link port, and i'm not sure if it can support 75hz at 1080p. Do you think i should buy a dvi d dual link?

My monitor is Asus VS247HR
I have a Windows 10 64bit
I5 8400k
8gb ddr4
Gtx 1060 6gb

Single link DVI is only capable of 60 Hz at 1080p. Most likely the monitor only supports it with HDMI, and possibly dual-link DVI.
I bought the one with dual link and it still doesn't work. Hdmi won't work aswell. Do you think there could be some issue of trying the single link first, that now, the dual link isn't recognizable as itself?

Your monitor might only support 75Hz by overclocking. Some manufacturers have misleading advertising stating that a monitor supports 75Hz, but only if you do it manually through a custom resolution, and if you do so then it would void the warranty of the monitor. https://appuals.com/how-to-create-custom-resolutions-on-windows-7-8-or-10/ This is a site showing how to create a custom resolution.
I did try making a custom resolution but it only goes up to 66hz, for others it works with a dvi dl without even making a custom res.
