Hey everyone, I am looking for a processor so that I can do tasks on my computer smoothly. I am not looking for a super processor, just something simple and preferrably around 100$. I don't know computer hardware very well so I'll be needing help with choosing the right processor. So far I've came up with these options:
http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Sempron-145-Processor-SDX145HBGMBOX/dp/B0040BPHJO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1392222553&sr=8-3&keywords=computer+processor

If you have better options, please tell me about them. I think anything above 2.0 ghz is smooth, but I wouldn't know so please tell me otherwise. I own an HP Pavilion. Model: p2-1134 Current Processor: AMD E-450 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.65 GHz Installed Memory: 4.00 GB (3.60 usable). I am not sure if this is the right information needed to find a compatible processor, please let me know if I need to find more information and how to. Thanks for all the help in advance.

You cannot upgrade the processor in that system. It is soldered to the motherboard. The other CPU's you linked are to a totally different sockets completely even if you could upgrade. An SSD and 8gb of ram would help you for doing things smoothly though.

Alright I see, I need to change the motherboard then. Could you link me a compatible SSD and ram? Or does all ram fit any computer?
