help with finding a cpu

Well like the description says I'm confused about this cpu stuff. I'm trying to find out if a amd fx8350 will bottleneck a r9 290 but I can't find a answer. I keep finding stuff that says only intel cpus are good and what not so please could I have some help.

With builds < $850, typical gaming wisdom says build AMD ... over that build Intel. hardware wise, my thoughts are buy best you can afford, can always move something to the next build.

fx8350 will be the best AMD CPU for any video card at that CPU price range. The 9590 is the next step up and will do better.

Well, better might be, but the power consumption is outrageous and you will need liquid cooling to keep it stable.

The 8350 and the 8320 are huge value for the money. Choose the 8350 if you do not overclock. But even if you pick the 8320 you can put it at 4 GHz easy with the stock cooler (the 8350 stock cooler is the same than the 8320 with copper).
One less step but not less good is the FX 6300 and the FX 6350. Same than above applies here.
And you might try the new Steamroller based Athlons that will come in a week for the FM2+ socket.

With an R290 in an 850 build, 8320 or 8350 are about your only choices. Even the cheapest i5 with an R290 comes in just over $900.
