Help with first "real" build

I'll try to be brief. I'm a noob through and through so be easy. So long story short, my first gaming PC was from cyberpower. I ended up moving all the components to another case of my liking. It's now time for me to build my own. The cyberpower pc has a 1tb Samsung SSD which I would like to use for my new build I'm working on. I have read and read to NEVER plug in a hard drive with an existing OEM copy of Windows on it into a new rig as that particular installation of Windows is tied to the Mobo/CPU of its initial rig and you could potentially damage the new build (is this right?). I'm totally fine buying another copy of Windows for this new rig. Now here's my questions. How to I "factory reset", so to speak, the SSD while in its current rig so that I can use it in my new build and avoid messing things up? Should I buy windows 10 on the USB stick for the new build or the disk? Does it matter, like would it help the process either way? I have never turned a computer on that didn't have Windows or Linux on it already so this part is stressing me out. I'll move hardware all day long no sweat but this stuff is hard to lock down answers for. I don't have another hard drive if you're wondering. Idk why that would matter but hey, there you go. I understand I'll be losing everything on SSD initially but I don't care. All my saves are backed up in the cloud anyway and I can move my pics/vids to an external HD if I find anything worth keeping (I strictly game on PC that's it). Thanks for reading. My gut tells me I'm making things more complicated than they are but sometimes you just need a sanity check LOL. Old rig is a z97 platform and the new rig is z270 if that has anything to do with it idk.

If your intent on using your SSD and don't mind wiping the drive and obtaining a new licence key then the best way is to obtain the ISO file from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
Just do a quick Format to the SSD and do a clean install of Windows 10 using the ISO file.

What's an ISO file? Why do I need it?

An ISO image is an archive file of an optical disc and have a file extension of .iso. It is required to install your OS.
Microsoft have provided an ISO file to install Windows10 from the Link provided.

This should be extracted and burned either to a DVD or USB stick.
Once the ISO file has been burned to the installation media(USB or DVD), boot from the installation media and follow the instructions that come up on your screen.

Usually you either set priority in Bios or you can use F2 function key to specify the boot sequence:

Start the computer and press the delete key off and on during Post cycle or F2 key and select the Boot media.

If you enter BIOS to set priority.
Use the arrow keys to select the BOOT tab in Bios.
To give a USB or DVD drive boot sequence priority over the SSD or HDD, move it to the first position in the Boot sequence list.
