I'm super psyched, I just got a Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 installed it. So far, with everything on ultra, Shadow of Mordor averages around 60 FPS while BF4 averages around 85 FPS. However, there seems to be intermittent stuttering, which I suspect may be due to my undervolted (from 1.30 V stock to 1.2 V) or low-clocked (3.1 GHz) FX-8120, although I tried changing the voltage back to stock, turned off all power saving/throttling setting in BIOS, and even overclocked to 3.5 GHz at 1.185 V. What might be the culprit here? How will I know if I need to replace my MoBo/CPU? Thanks!

all of my friends have bf4 and me and my friends have the same issue bf4 was not very optimized for pc that much I would try uninstalling the drivers you have and installing them again
Hello,

I cannot answer for the SoM issue, but I had the same prob with BF4 (only) when I upgraded from a GTX 760 to a GTX 970 and for the life of me could not figure it out, but as it was only one title, knew it was not hardware related... So, after researching online, came across a forum that said to disable Origin In-Game for BF4 and I did... and it worked!!! No more lag/stutter issues.

You can give that a shot and see if that works for you in BF4. If it does, then you know there may be a similar fix for SoM or: download of latest/rollback NVidia driver or a software update/patch required for SoM.

One more thing, and I might catch flack for this... Don't use FRAPS for your frame-counter, as FRAPS can cause some issues with certain titles as I've found out. I use MSI Afterburner, which has an OSD w/Riva Tuner you can highly customize (for more than just a FPS counter) and works great without interfering with games I've noticed so far.

That G1 you have is a great card and the FPS you are reporting in BF4 (in ultra) w/your CPU is pretty respectable btw.

Good luck.

Please do remember Far cry 4 is new and everyone is having problems with it NVidia and AMD are releasing new driver updates to fix the tearing and the stuttering in the game ubisoft is also trying to push out a update to fix this but for now download the DirectX in the far cry 4 location to help with some problems

It's true that FC4 is quite new and I am aware that many, many people have issues with it, but my concern comes from the fact that it seems to be in all of my games ,including BF4 even when logged out of origin. That's what makes me suspect hardware is at the heart of the problem.
