Help with front panel cables

Where do i plug in these cables im having a difficult time i dont understand it on the manual my motherboard is an ASUS z170 e the case im using is this Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case, Tempered Glass Panels, Up to 420mm GPU, 360mm Liquid-cooling, 4 120mm Fans Pre-installed - CULLINAN https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M6TV6PC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_1bQ9zbMC2TZDG

What is the exact model of your motherboard? The manual should tell where to plug in the positive and ground connections on the headers.

The manual will tell you. Theyre all on the same set of pins

Only wires you have to connect right are the led + and - otherwise they wont light up

With the Pin layout as below, make the following connections

2 4 6 8
1 3 5 7 9

Reset SW + in Pin 7
Reset SW - in Pin 8
Power SW + in Pin 5
Power SW - in Pin 6
Power LED + in Pin 2
Power LED - in Pin 4
H.D.D. LED + in Pin 1
H.D.D. LED - in Pin 3

Yeah your best bet is just to do trial and error, it won't break anything if you plug something in wrong. Do the case connectors have a + and - on them?
