Help with future upgrade. Budget 1k

Hey everyone. In about a month ill be looking to do some upgrading to my pc. Specs are

I5 3470
8gb ddr3
Evga gtx 760
Kingston ssd

My budget will be about 1k. I want to upgrade my monitor for sure. I have an AOC 20 inch 1080p currently but want to go higher resolution. With my budget, what should i upgrade to achieve playable framerates in games? Monitor included in the budget if possible. Thanks guys and gals!
