help with fx 6300 stability?! perhaps voltage?

So i have an fx-6300 on a MSI 970A-G46 and when i run prime95 all of my cores stop working very soon after the test is initiated running large FFT's. My processor is at 3.5 GHz (stock) and the voltage is at 1.272 (as shown in cpu-z). So how can i fix this?

Large FFT's test RAM as well. Have you overclocked your RAM at all? Make sure that your RAM is either at 1333 MHz or using one of its memory profiles in the BIOS. The best way to do this is just to go into the BIOS and just hit the default settings. Is this same thing happening with small FFT's? Small FFTs don't stress the RAM at all, just the CPU, so if it's happening on the large FFT and not the small FFT, then it's likely that you have a defective RAM stick. Just to make sure of this, go download memtest86 and see if your RAM is ok.

Thanks so much! I tried small fft's and it appears to be working fine! So i did rin memtest86 a few weeks ago for i beleive 6 passes and with no problems because thats what i thought it might be but since there weren't errors i figured it wasn't. In my bios i do have my ram set to ddr-3 1866 which is what it is designed to run at. Should i give it a go at 1333?

Wanted to mention in cpu-z in says my dram frequency is 933.3 mhz... which is weird because my bios says 1866

Give it a go at 1333. What RAM stick do you have? And the CPU-Z listing is fine. CPU-Z always lists it as half the actual amount, and 933 is half of 1866. I forget the details on why, but I know it's normal.

I have 16GB of G.Skill RipJaws X running in dual channel. I'll try at 1333 soon

lowering to 1333 worked and so did 1600 so i'll probably just leave it at 1600. thanks for the help man
