I would need some help with this build that I am willing to buy:

CPU: i5 8400
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING X 4GB DDR5 128-bit
MOBO: GIGABYTE Z370P-D3
SSD: Kingston SSDNow UV400 120GB SATA-III 2.5 inch
PSU: Corsair CX550M, 80+ Bronze, 550W
RAM: HyperX Fury Black 8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL15 1.2v
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACAxxx 1TB SATA-III 7200 RPM 32MB
Monitor: 1080p 60hz

Will the GPU bottleneck? Should I change the CPU? (i5 7600, maybe something else)
Is the build good? Would a 1060 3GB be better? The 6GB got expansive due to bitcoin

Solution
With a GTX 1050 Ti there is no difference between a i5 8400 and Ryzen 1500X/1600 cause the 1050 Ti is a low end GPU. Only if you can push higher than 120fps will there be a difference.

As others have said, definitely go with high speed memory if going with Ryzen.

Coffee Lake is fine, though since you got a Z370 motherboard, I'd try going for the 8600K if at all possible, just so you can take advantage of overclocking in the future.
Looks good, you won't get a bottleneck, however i'd change 2 things:

1. I'd highly consider going the AMD Ryzen route, it's a cheaper option for the same performance, a Ryzen 5 1500X/1600 + B350 motherboard is better.
2. Get 16GB of RAM if at all possible.

The i5 8400 isn't really worth it with Z370 cause it's so expensive, only when B360 mobos come out will it be very attractive.

gtx 1050Ti will be a weak spot in this system .
it can run any game at 1080p but not without compromises .

i5 8400 can hande more powerful video cards ,
problem is they are very expensive and hard to get these days .
gtx 1060 6gb would be ideal for such build under normal circumstances .
(3gb edition is not really worth the money)

2x8gb of 3000MHz cl15/cl16 memory instead of 1x8gb 2400MHz would also be better .

no, for gaming the i5 8400 easily outperforms an 1600 @ 4ghz, while CHEAPER because it does not need expensive ram to perform well. ryzen is only a viable compromise IF the price difference is huge

it also has better upgrade path, now that amd has revealed ryzen 2 is going to need a 470 motherboard to function properly

the vast majority of cheap b350 mobos will not be able to handle ryzen 2, and even top of the line mobos will have features castrated

No it does not, with a GTX 1050 Ti Ryzen 1600X and the i5 8400 are equal, simply because the GPU isn't strong enough to "overpower" the CPU, you need a GTX 1070 or higher for the Coffee Lake to be better than Ryzen.

The only reason why I was saying check out ryzen is because of motherboard costs, but if his CPU mobo and RAM are cheaper on Coffee Lake than Ryzen, then definitely go Coffee Lake.

Really? Source?

dont confuse ryzen 2 with ryzen+

i imagine top of the line mobos with decent vrm will handle ryzen+
