Question Help with GPU power?

Okay, so I recently replaced my cooling system (with the help of some on this site) and got it working with my GPU all good to go late last week.

Even played a few hours with a friend on Tuesday night and all worked fine, temps never went above 72C.

So last night I boot up my computer, put in my password and log in, and while it’s loading I go to charge my cell phone from the surge protector beneath my desk. In the process I drop the surge protector maybe 6 inches and suddenly lose video on my monitor.

I let it chill, but it doesn’t come back.

I restart, and notice the GPU (3070) is blinking RGB instead of just constant RGB.

So I Google and some people say it’s a power supply issue.

But I’ve had this build for a year and a half with no issues. New cooling system is probably less intense than the last and worked fine for several hours a few nights ago. Think I even left the computer on all night that night.

So I checked and the power cords going into the GPU aren’t loose.

The GPU itself I found one screw connecting the thing holding the 3070 up wasn’t done right but I turned it off, re-did the whole thing and reconnected.

Issue still happens.

What can I do?

Tried it again, and it seems like the GPU is getting no power since the lights aren’t on at all. The GPU is firmly connected to the power cords.

Power cords appear firmly connected to the PSU.

I took out and re-sat my GPU.

Turned on the computer.

Case lights come on. Cooler comes on. GPU stays dark.

Note, I RMA’ed this GPU a few weeks ago thinking it was broken and just got it back, so it shouldn’t be the GPU.

Could my power supply have gone bad suddenly?
