Help with GPU Upgrade

Hello everyone. I wanted to know which GPU would be the best option for my build. I currently have a r9 380 Nitro 4GB and i've been using this card for like 5 years now. Which GPU would be good for 1080p gaming? I was thinking to upgrade to a RTX 2070 but I don't know if it's too much for my build or if it's a waste of money since i'm not planning to play in a higher resolution at the moment. Thank you in advance.
My build:
CPU: i7 6700k
Mobo: Asus Maximus VIII HERO
PSU: Corsair Cx650m 650w 80 Plus Bronze
RAM: 2x8 G.skill Trident Z Ddr4 3000mhz

well, if you a 2070 is not too much, it will probably be right on par with your cpu.
but, since you dont intend on high rez gaming, a 1050 ti or a 1060 would probably suffice.
if you want to stick with amd gpu's go to the rx 580.
but if I were you, I would get the 2070 and start saving up for a 1080p 144hz or 2k 144hz monitor.
