Help with graphics card issue

So i have a gt-740 bad yes i know anyway i was just browsing youtube when i see nigida driver update so i press update it downloads and updates . after a while chrome starts to crash then my pc crashed and when i try to start igoes to the login screen i log in and freezes when i enter my password . Anyone got any solutions?

Where did you download the nVidia driver update from?

1)Uninstall current driver
2)Install newest driver from Nvidia, you want a program to do it automatically, download GEFORCE EXPERIENCE and use "clean installation"

I'm sure the problem is happening because you "updated" the driver but you didn't uninstall the previous one, so you have 2 drivers installed causing conflict or something

How does one install it when the screen freezes when i enter my password. it says welcome and the spinning wheel just stops and i cant press or do anything

Ive always used DDU uninstaller when I've had driver issues. Start in safe mode and run it - then put the new nvidia drivers on.

Okay so i have downloaded the program on a usb but how can i run on he pc.? because like i said the graphics card freezes the picture at the welcome screen just stops and does nothing

I feel your pain - I had an issue with my previous Win 8.1 - had to reboot several times to get into safe mode. DDU fixed me up after that though.
