You know how the Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC is overclocked, does that mean that I have to know anything about overclocking myself? Probably a stupid question but whatever. I can get it for £197 just now on overclockersuk so it seems like a good deal no?

Or should i go for the msi gtx 670? Just about to buy a few of the parts online.

Solution

Both are good cards, can you link the MSi one to see if it the Power Edition or not, the regular one is not as good as the ASUS Direct CUII 670.

no buying an OC model doesn't mean you have to know about OCing. a OC model comes factory overclocked and is faster than a standard 670. The Asus one is the best, go for it.

That means that the graphics card comes from the factory already overclocked.

You don't need to know anything about how to overclock the graphics card unless you want to push your graphics card beyond the factory overclock.

Motherboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme6
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K
GPU: Asus Nvidia GeForce 2GB GTX 670 DirectCU II OR MSI GeForce GTX670 Nvidia Graphics Card (2GB, PCI-E 2.0 x16) -I originally wanted the Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC but the price recently jumped up in the uk amazon, anyone know how much better it is?
RAM: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus, Black Midi Tower
PSU: Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB 7200 RPM
Fan (for CPU? Recommended online): Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120mm)
Extra case fan: Cooler Master MegaFlow 200mm LED Fan

Although, for money reasons, I was thinking about changing my motherboard to the MSI Z77A-G45 GAMING LGA1155 Intel ATX Motherboard, would this be okay? As in would everything still be compatible and I wouldn't need to worry about bottlenecking?

that mobo is NOT compatible with your cpu though. you need a socket 1150 mobo

As stated above, the MSI Z77-A-G45 Gaming is not compatible. Go for the Z87-G45 should you want to save a few pounds.

Thanks so much for that! Literally was just about to buy it :/. So this will be compatible with my other system settings (with the Asus Gtx 670) without any bottlenecking or issues with the PCI compatibility? Sorry for what are probably very stupid questions, but this is my first build and all pretty new for me.
