Help with Imogen

Anyone out there familiar with "Imogen" [freeware from the ovine.net folk
<http://imogen.ovine.net/>]? I've been playing it and it is a bit
maddening: most of the puzzles are relatively simple and fun, but several
seem to be just plain impossible. [e.g., on Whip-It, how do you get the
frog? The jump is just a tad too long for the cat and nothing else comes
close.. is there some trick for a extra-long-jump or something else? -- I
have a bunch of questions like that: where I"m *sure* I've figured out the
puzzle but there seems to be no way to do a crucial step. [e.g., on
another one: on Follow-Me, it wasn't that hard to get the baboon to open
the gate.. but then what: again, the final jump to get the jewel is just a
tad too long to make [and on this one I"m *sure* I'm missing something
because there's that rope at the extreme right edge of the level that I
can't figure out what to do with: again, I can climb the rope but not go
anywhere from there... It is almost as if there's "one more" action that
you can do with some funny key sequence that I'm just not quite getting]

On Whip-it, you can do the jump with the cat, it's just tricky as you have
to time it just so on the jump.

I have completed Follow Me, but I can't quite remember what happens next.
Is it the one where you have a taper which you can light and then burn
down the table so that you can reach with a jump?

The only level that I can't do at all is the one with the mice throwing a
ball to each other (is it Balloonacy?). I don't know where to start on
that one. Let me know if you want tips on any of the other rounds though.
