Help with installing a SSD drive externally for my MSI Z370M Gaming Pro Motherboard

I can’t find any walkthroughs or guides on how to install a SSD driver externally and I don’t trust myself enough to just toy around with it. Can anyone guide me in the right direction or help me out with some steps? Thank you.

are you asking to install a 2.5 inch ssd to a case outside your pc or to install ssd drivers fro m an ext usb stick??
