help with laptop cooling

I am on my laptop a lot and I worry about heat.

Right now I am using these

and I do believe they help some. But, there has to be a way to keep it cooler, I would think.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

What are any of you all using that makes a significant impact on operating temperatures? What kind of price range?

Those feet look rediculous in my opinion. Go to like a best buy and just get like a targus laptop chill pad, thats what i use while im gaming. Dont need to use the fans powered via usb, i just use the mat to keep the vents off my blanket or lap. Think theyre like $20 when i bought one a few months ago.

For 5.99 that vacuum thing is crap. It can't pull air out faster than the internal fan can move it. It will actually run the computer hotter. Don't even mess with it.

What are your LOAD CPU temps? Chances are they are fine.

I use it on my lap sometimes but it's not as comfortable as the Belkin ones. So yes, it's more for desks.

And I second tiny voices question, your temps might be fine.

I don't know what is good or not, but there is a little flame icon by all except hd0

What do you all advise?

None of those temps are anything to worry about at all if those are load temps. If they are idle temps, then you have an issue.

Right now just sitting there it says cpu usage is 50% numbers are 59, 45, 57, 60, 60

Am I in trouble?

No you are not in trouble. What else is running? If you were just sitting there at he desktop with no programs but speedfan open, CPU usage should be close to 0.

Ok, I shut everything down except speedfan. I disconnected from internet, shut off security. and waited a few minutes.

Numbers are 55, 45, 45, 40, 40 ... GPU never gets under 54 ,,, is this normal?

That is perfectly normal for a laptop.

Thanks, tiny, you have made me a lot less worried And thanks everyone for suggestions. Might look into that notepal and maybe the others, tho I rarely have it directly on lap.

Just wanted to add, the 'notepal U stand mini' is also a very good cooling pad too, you can custom it and also since its an adjustable one so you can elevate it, and use plain fans that don't have casings so that the air flow is stronger. (if you want to go to the extreme, I always take my laptop cover off at the bottom so that cool air from the fans can circulate through the laptops components, though that depends on what laptop you have and how it is designed) iv had an idle temperature of 25 degrees on all cores. and 68 to 75 degrees average on gaming. Keep in mind too of the atmosphere or room temperature. That makes quite a difference too.
