Hi guys, I'm new here and I have a question for you guys!

I currently own a Samsung NP700Z5C-S01UB Series 7 Laptop
CPU Intel® Core™ i7-3615QM Processor
Speed (GHz) 2.3GHz
Ram: 8GB
Chipset NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 630 M (512 mb)

The laptop itself is pretty good, but I wish to upgrade the video card somehow. I have read about the Express slot External graphics card option but I don't have an Express Slot on my PC..

Is there another option for me or is this a lost cause? I'd rather not buy a new PC right now.

I don't really have a budget. As long as it's doable, it's fine.

Unfortunately, you're pretty much out of luck. It's pretty hard to change a laptop's GPU, even if they do allow for it. There are some people who do custom solutions to let them change the GPU, but in general they end up costing more than would be practical. I think your best bet is to try to look for a new computer.

I took a look @ the GT 630M. It is permanently attached to your motherboard. The low end mobile GPUs aren't upgradeable. Many of the high end ones are however. Something to keep in mind if you buy a new laptop and want to be able to upgrade it in the future.
