AMD fx6200
ASUS m5a78L-MUSB-3
corsair 650 psu

SSD not showing up on bios or when I'm trying to install windows 10.My other pc does recognize the SSD.
What do I need to do so my old mobo can recognize my new Kingston 240GB A400 SATA 3 SSD?

if you connected the SSD to SATA 5 or 6 port, then set the SATA configuration from IDE to AHCI in BIOS.
Try other SATA ports if this doesn´t work.

Did you connect the power and data cable? Try a different data cable and power connector as well.

The ASUS BIOS usually has a bit more options in boot order management. Did you set the SSD in BIOS to 1st boot device? Before you can chose the SSD there, you might need to set it 1st in the hard drive section of the BIOS.

chose hard drive BBS priorities, is your SSD listed there?

if not:

update the BIOS of the motherboard

update it via USB directly within BIOS

THANK YOU !
Looks like its finally working only SATA 4 is working which is weird =/. Now that its fixed I have one more problem LOL.
For some reason my Network Internet access is showing as down. I have an Ethernet cable in their tried 2 different ones already but not connected to the internet. In the back of the mobo where the Ethernet cable is connected there is no green lights showing. Do you think that its also fried like the other SATA ports?

Make sure it is in there properly or right click the internet icon and click troubleshoot issue

If you can you may need to connect wireless and go to your motherboards website to download the ethernet drivers
