hey everybody.
im am going to make a build and need your help with picking the parts

rules:
gpu: msi gtx 970 or msi gtx 780 ti
cpu: intel i7 -4790k
mobo: msi z97 gaming 5

all other parts is your choice. i dont plan on overclocking right know, maybe im gonna do it, but chose the 4790k because its price was cheap.

budget: 2-350 max 550 dollers
pick as good and cheap you can
The budget is excluding gpu cpu and mobo

Well, sorry, but you're not fitting those parts into $550.

A few more details would be needed to recommend a build. Do you need Windows, monitor, or any other accessories included in the budget? Is this primarily for gaming? What resolution is your monitor (will it be)?

Assuming you don't need the OS, you could do something like this build:

I'll make a small suggestion to Gracodana's build then. Go with the latest MX100 Crucial Drive (if it's not much more $$$). Grab the 1866MHz version of memory, it's almost the same price, and games are starting to make use of faster RAM.

Also, if it's between those 2 GPUs, go the 970. Less power and more futureproof thanks to the 4GB of RAM. Games are starting to gobble that up faster thanks to lousy ports.

If you're not going to ever Overclock, you can get a "non-k" CPU, and a "H97" motherboard for cheaper, but you loose SLI with most H97 boards.

1866 ram is only taken advantage of really in APU's wouldnt hurt if you see it for around the same price as other ram though. It's a bit of a tough choice with the mobo because not having SLI is a fairly big loss as two 970's is a great way to go but you could save a bit of cash.
