Help with memory

im trying to start my 1st build and i am curious about a description i saw on new egg about CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) ram. it said DDR3 for AMD, Intel Dual processors and 2nd Generation Intel Core Processor platforms. i was wondering would a intel i5 3570k cpu be compatible with this ram. help would be appreciated.

Since you have the i5-3570k, so most likely you have the Z77 MB then the DDR3 CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) will fit with your MB too.

most of the sandy bridge and ivery bridge ram now is 1.5v or less and 1333 for sandy bridge and 1600 for ivy as the max ram speed. older ram will be 1.6v stock or 1.5v for 1333 and 1.6v or greater for 1600 speed. most mb vendor have a qal list posted on there mb help page for ram that been tested on the mb your buying and the cpu. also ram vendors have there own list too.
