Built new computer.
Biostar TA790GX 128m motherboard
Athlon Phenom II 940
4GB of OCZ Reaper ram 1066

Problem.. ram is showing up as PC 6400 with CPU-Z. I tried changing the voltage to 2.1v (like ram says) and also from 400 to 533 but it still shows as pc 6400 in cpu-z.

Anyon with help??

Ok.. Update.

I have CPU-Z showing:
Memory:
DRAM Frequency--533MHZ
FSB:DRAM--3:8
5-5-5-15 32clocks 2T

but under SPD
Each memory module still showing: PC2-6400 400MHZ

Should everything be right since the DRAM frequency and timings are right?

yup, if bios is reading it properly and the speeds are reading properly then the name assigned to it doesnt really matter. That PC2 number is based on a couple of standards but is programed onto the module and not figured out from the module.

SPD is the default settings the memory should be running at if you set everything to auto.
It is not the speed and timings that it is currently running.
