help with motherboard bios update! please respond fast.

Well I decided to update my bios in order to keep my system up to date. Well turns out I shouldn't have because the second I clicked update on the dell bios update software ny display freaked out and now is just frozen on a bunch of colors. I'm not sure if it's safe to unplug or anything. please help, nothing will work.

You can easily brick a motherboard with a failed bios update. Many people only recommend bios updates if there is something wrong(that a bios upgrade will fix) - why fix something that isn't broke.

If your system is still under warranty, you best option would be to call Dell support.
