Took your suggestion of updating my bios, the local computer store wanted $50 - $75 to flash bios with a 7- 10 day wait, so I thought what the hell, the worst case would be a new board!!! Updated the bios sucessfully to the A9 bios for this board. Cleared my cmos as directed, but forgot to make notations on my cpu settings. Could you or anyone tell me what the multipler/fsb settings should be for the 1.2 Amd tbird (266). The bios update corrected my ACPI errors in the event viewer but my cpu temp is now at 50 degrees celius, where it used to be at 35 degrees. The settings I have inputed into the softmenu are:

Cpu Operating Speed: 1200(133)
Multipiler Factor: x9
Cpu/Fsb/Pci Clock: 133/33mhz
Cpu FSB PLus(mhz): 0
Speed Error Hold: Disabled

Athlon TBird 1.2 266
Abit KT7A-R
768mb pc133 ram
Geforce 2 Ti
Santa Cruz Sound Card
Realtek NIC
IBM 60g, Maxtor 40g
Any Help would be appreciated!!! Thanks Joe

It's pretty easy to figure out actually. Just divide the proc speed by the FSB bus speed. 1200Mhz divided by 133 = 9x multiplier. A 1333 MHz with a 133 FSB would be 10. In cases where you'd have a 100FSB such as the early T-birds 1000 divided by 100 would be 10x. 900Mhz would be 9x. In my case an xp1700(at 1466Mhz) is 11. Hope this helps
