I recently built my first computer. I was not going into the gaming aspect of it with high expectations because I am using an APU. This APU is an AMD A-10 5800k. I watched a lot of Youtube videos about the performance along with some gameplay. As far as I knew, this APU should at least be playable on BF3. I have seen a lot of videos that show that this APU can run it at 30fps meduim settings and at 1280X720. Mine will run at 25fps at 800X600.

Also, my 3dMark scores are really low, at 197. I have all of my drivers updated and my BIOS is also updated. Any Help?

My PC Specs:
A78M-E35 Motherboard
AMD A-10 5800k
Radeon 7660D/with my APU
1 Stick of 8gb RAM@1600
1TB HDD
550W PSU

I will try to find it in the BIOS, but is this seen as overclocking and will it increase my temperature?

The videos had 1866. I am going to upgrade my ram to 16gb so I can have Dual channel activated.

i just looked in the BIOS and I could not find Frame Buffer. Although, I did find that my DRAM is running at a frequency of 1333 instead of 1600. Should I change this because as of now, it is set on auto.

i cant find Frame Buffer in my BIOS. And i understand that more RAM is not better than speed for an APU but I accidentally purchased 1X8 instead of 2X4.

i'm telling him to increase the frame buffer size. new out of the box the BIOS sets it to 512.............. only allowing a 512 frame buffer.............. doesn't have anything to do with ram speed...................... but I also mentioned 2133 in my first post above. maybe you missed that?

I understand exactly what you said. I agree that he needs to up the frame buffer, but it is also a fact that RAM speed has a LARGE impact on game performance with an APU. The difference between 1333 and 2133 can be as big as 15fps in some games. Im not telling him to buy faster RAM. Simply stating that the videos he saw could have used faster RAM and thus given him unattainable expectations for his system.
