So Im building my first computer and plan to do some moderate gaming on it, but i need help deciding on these parts. I already have a graphics card and have a budget of 400$ for these parts. Here is what i have so far:

CPU: Intel i3-4130 Dual Core

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-B85M-D3H LGA 1150 Intel B85

RAM: G.SKILL Value 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin 1600 Mhz DDR3

PSU: CORSAIR CXM series CX500M 500W

Case: Rosewill Challenger

All of this right now costs around 360$ but getting an i5 processor would bump that up to around 440$ which is above my budget

I want to know if there is a way i could configure this build so i could have an i5 instead of an i3 for around 400$. Things i dont want to change are the PSU and the case. i figure i could find a cheaper motherboard or ram but im not sure what to go with as i want to make sure i have quality parts.

Thank You!

Do NOT get the APU for gaming purposes. For example, the top-end Kaveri APU A10-7850k gets about 30 fps on medium at 1080p in Skyrim, whereas the 7750 will get you 30 fps on Ultra with FXAA on. The 7750 will perform SO MUCH BETTER than an APU.

Here is my recommendation for a $400 budget:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-4300 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($104.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($47.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.25 @ Newegg)
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7750 2GB Video Card ($92.38 @ Amazon)...
