My computer's audio has stopped working and ive contacted Microsoft but it wont work either. I get a message that says "no audio device is installed. I think its a problem internally and id like to know if there is a way for me to fix it. If not, then where would a recommened place be to fix my computer in the city, Rancho Cucamonga

Hello,

When was the last time it worked? Was there any hardware/software change since then?

This might be a driver issue, go to your "device manager" to see if you can see the sound card. You can also check to see if you have the chipset enabled from your BIOS if no card was detected in your "device manager".

Cheers,

What is the percentage that it will fix my computers audio if i buy the sound card and a 1/4 inch converter
sound card:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102069&cm_re=external_sound_card-_-29-102-069-_-Product
1/4 inch converter: http://www.amazon.com/Leegoal-25-3-5mm-4-Inch-Adapter/dp/B003VGRDUK

100%, you just have to install the drivers, then selcet it as your audio card of choice from the audio settings in the control panel.
