(Apologies if this thread is on the wrong section.)

So approx. 1 month ago I got a new motherboard and processor for my new desktop. It's a Core i3-8100 on a ASUS B360M - GAMING PLUS board. It's working fine and all but I think there is something wrong with the audio.

Recently when im watching YouTube, Netflix, or just streaming video in general, occasionally I hear mini sudden pops in the sound. Maybe like 5-10 second intervals or something like that. I notice the video and audio start to go off sync, specifically the audio being ahead than the video. But, when I play games (Fortnite, CSGO, etc.) there's nothing wrong with the sound at all.

It's starting to get annoying to me when I watch online, and I've tried many software fixes to no avail.

LatencyMon is telling me that I do have a problem with buffer underruns, but disabling CPU throttling as a solution isn't a good idea.

Personally I hope that it isn't a hardware problem, and that I prefer to not have to purchase anything.

Can anyone help me out?

Is all of this streaming in the same browser? I'd suggest trying a different one. The fact that your games don't have the same issue points to a software or codec problem more than hardware in my opinion. What browser or other software are you using when this happens? If using windows 10 have you tried the Netflix app from the windows store (although that has been a bit buggy in the past as well).

What about just playing music or a video file locally in a media player (as opposed to streaming), does that work ok?
