Hi,
I'm ready to order and build my first PC, all I need is the confirmation that this setup will work and that I have not missed anything. My budget is around $1,000. this is a gaming-only PC with NO overclocking. It would be appreciated if you could also recommend better equipment in the same price range or higher if justifiable, as long as I stay within my budget. I'm mostly reluctant about the motherboard and case, and finally am I missing any essential parts? Thank you very much in advance.

The CPU I would get a i5-4670k, as these are amazing processors. Whereas you can wait a while to get the Skylake processors (i5-6600k) to go down in price if needed, yet that will require a different motherboard and DDR4 RAM.
In my opinion, I would go for an ASUS Z87-A, friends use them and its very reliable for the price and has good features.
Ram looks all good.
Video card wise, I prefer NVIDIA, that would be the equivalent of a 760 I would presume?
Case seems cheap and cheetful yet I would say that a Corsair case is again for reliable.
PSU looks all good.
Optical drive looks all good.
An IPS monitor would be better as the colours are much better, but they can be a little expensive.
Keyboard and mouse is down to your opinion of comfort.
Those headphones seem all good.
