Hey guys, looking for some help here. I'm pretty green with PC building, but I'm doing a new build and need help finalizing what I need. So far, I have:

-i7-9700k

-MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Armor

-ASRock Z390 SLI/AC motherboard

-G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB RAM

-Thermaltake 750W 80+ Bronze power supply (from my last PC)

I'm also keeping my HDD, SSD, blu ray drive, and some other things from my old PC. My problem is I need a good case and a good cooler that will fit in that case and I have no idea what to go with. I've been doing some Google searching but getting conflicting responses because I can't find someone doing my exact build. Any suggestions? I'd like to leave some wiggle room (cooler wise) to do some light overclocking. Thank you!

Not if you plan to OC beyond just playing around. Then no. Then I would buy the following if its the H500 we are talking about (discard the 2 fans that comes with the case, not that they are bad but they arent top notch either):

4 fans(3 x 140 mm and 1 x 120 mm). Quality fans, static pressure, wide RPM span.
AIO for the cpu. Radiator size, depends, I would just go for a 120 backmounted exhaust (obviously). 1 top fan exhaust. 2 front fans intake. Remember mesh for the 2 intake fans.

To optimize for current and future cooling needs in general, get a case with 2 front, 2 top and 1-2 back slots for fans. Make sure the front design is otimal for the front fans intake.
Select a such case and it will have ample room also for any cooling solution for the cpu.
As for cooling solutions for the cpu. Any good AIO solution will do really. Depending on your ambitions as to OC, give some thought as to the radiator size.
Theres alot of good solutions out there. Go Google. I have always been happy with NZXT. Just built a rig for my son based on the H500. Good value for money.

Hmm ok, so I keep hearing that NZXT H500 case is good. Would a Noctura NH-D15 be good for that case and my motherboard? pcpartpicker doesn't show any compatibility issues but it seems like it would just barely fit.

Also, should I buy any fans for the case itself? If so, which ones? Thanks.

Why the Noctura? Should fit, but why not an AIO solution?

NZXT H500, what I really like is two things: The build and material quality. And the really intelligent cable management solution that comes with it. Tucking away all cables so they are out of sight is a breeze.

As for fans. Really depends on how much you want to spend, and how you do the setup. If you are happy with the 2 fans coming with the H500 then no need to spend more. Also, do you want RGB fans?

Ok, well I'm definitely not planning on any hardcore overclocking, just the "playing around" you mentioned if that. So I should be ok with the stock fans? Sorry, I'm really new at this.

If you only "play around" with it, the stock fans are sufficient but not more than that. I would still get additional fans OC or not, as the cooler a cabinet=the longer your components last.
And a decent AIO solution for your cpu no matter what.
