[SOLVED] Help with network performance discrepancy!

Arris SB8200 modem to——CAT6(wired)——-Luxul Xwr1750 router to——CAT6(wired)—-Xbox or laptop. Just for note, I’ve got an ap wired into a 2nd port on the router.

I’m getting +\-100mbps speeds on the wired Xbox and laptop from the router

Scenario 2:
Arris sb8200 modem—-CAT6(wired)—-directly to Xbox or laptop
——I’m getting 500-600mpbs speeds with this scenario

I can’t figure out why the huge discrepancy when the (hardwired to device) router is in middle of the equation. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Start with a factory reset of the Luxul. Then setup just the admin password and any WIFI desired. Retest. Check the link speed on all the ports on the router.

Sounds like the router is just some ccc (cheap chinese crap). I would suspect that is the root cause of the problem, either hardware or software because either one will have a high number of defects as most 'wannabe' gear does.

Not sure if it chinese crap but it is not cheap. I had never seen the brand but a quick search found these device are only sold via authorized distributes. IE fake markups because some so called expert installs/sells it. When I saw pricing over $200 I thought maybe it was not US dollars. The only ones you can actually buy it appears are used ones the official ones do not even list a price.

Sounds like the normal third-world scams that pretend to be like the first world because of the pricing when they're still as dumb as a barrel of monkeys rolling downhill...
