Please keep it to 1 thread
Hello, I am trying to build a PC & this is my first time. I looked at different threads and could not find any with the same motherboard as mine which is Asus Rog Strix Z390E Gaming.

What does this mean?:

"The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled"

Also I also could not understand what the message about:

"Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders"

I will put my build from PCPartPicker underneath and may you guys please let me know if this build will work because I am trying to build it ASAP. Thank you guys so much!

Solution
That just means that one of the SATA ports on the motherboard is disabled when you have a drive in the M.2 port.
If you want to use SATA drives as well as your 970 EVO, just don't use that particular port. There are others.

And you don't need the thermal paste. The cooler comes with its own.

Hello, I am getting these two notes about my PC build on PCPartPicker. It is my first time trying to build a gaming PC and I already have ordered the case. May anyone please take a look at my build and tell me if they are all compatible. Thank you very much. (Notes below is what I am getting for compatibility)

Note :The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled.
Note :Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.

If everything is compatible please let me know. Thanks again!

Thanks got it. I changed the processor to an i9 9900k. May you please help me out with one more thing and tell me if everythings compatible with each other so i can start ordering the parts. Thanks a lot again man.

Looks OK.
Any specific reason for the 1TB hard drive?
With that budget, I'd add another $40-50, and get a 1TB SATA III SSD, instead of that spinner.
Go all solid.
By any chance can you edit it for me and send me a new link to the build with the edit? It’d be a huge help. Sorry for having a lot of questions im new to this and I wanna learn lol. Thanks brotha.

When youre using an AIO cooler, you dont need to worry about ram clearance.

if you really want intel:
Change the MBO to a “z390 aorus pro”
Less expensive, will solve your SSD/SATA problem.

I’d say:
go with the 3700x and the x570 aorus pro
or the b450 tomahawk MAX both solid.

change the case to a phanteks p400a, unless you really like the clean design.

This is my final build and everything. Changed motherboard to the msi z390 ace and included the ssds you told me to use. Other than the sata port being disabled, everything is compatible and ready for the parts to be ordered?

One small suggestion, I know your build has gone from $1400 to $2100 -- i don't want to increase it, but you may consider going with higher-wattage PSU. The 650-watt you've picked out will do the job, but you might spring for a PSU that does 850 watts instead

(Based on the graphics card and most of the other components you've chosen)

Keep in mind, the computer won't be constantly pumping away at 850 watts all day, in fact EVGA has great efficiency and only runs at what's asked of it.
