Hello Guys, I need some help on this build I've been looking at for a while and I just want to know if I should change anything.

Here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/BatoParaHentai/saved/hcc7YJ

Do I really need the NH-D15? I do plan on overclockin that 4790K but I ask myself if it really is worth it for gaming today, if yes, do you think I can maybe get another cheaper cooler or is the NH-D15 fine?

Is the Enthoo really necessary? Do you have any cheaper cases for this build? I don't mind colours that much.

I don't plan to focus all of the computer's memory on gaming, even if it is just keeping videos and such on the background in the meanwhile, do you think I can reduce it to 8GB?
For future reference, do you think it'll be better to SLI that 970 or get a newer version like the Titan or whatever there is to come?

Is that a good enough Mobo for gaming? Should I go for the VII hero or do you have any other suggestions?

hell no. Get a hyper 212 Plus, NOT the Evo. Often the plus is only $20 after rebate and is barely inferior to the EVO. $25 difference for 100mhz (tops) can be used elsewhere for a better final result

Also, if your on a budget wait for the radeon 3xx official announcement in a short while. That month's delay could save you a considerable sum, or get you a more powerfull machine. If you stick with your current video card selection, it'll go way down in price. or you can chose the new stuff for similar monies but get more power.

And you can probably go with a 4690K, 95% of the gaming power, 100 less bucks. Also there are new intel CPUs on the way though. If you can wait till mid summer you could basically change your entire plans. Probably worth it. As far as 16gb its probably a good idea, especially if you are going to game >1080P. 1440 (2k) or 2160 (4K) often need it. Your going overkill on your PSU, unless you are truely going to do a 2-3 card SLI build. 600ish is more than enough.

Most important, WHERE IS YOUR SSD!

And no one needs a mouse pad. Ever.

The DH-15 is a nice cooler, but by no means is it necessary. Plenty of people can get respectable overclocks with less. Hyper 212 Evo is a popular budget option. For a little more money the Cryorig H7 is very nice. And Phanteks makes some great 120mm units too.

You can drop to 8gb of memory if you want to save money. it's enough unless you have a lot of other stuff running behind your games.

I see no reason to buy a Titan unless you're gaming at 4k. If you stay at 1080p then SLI 970s is great.

Mobo is perfect.

As far as the case goes, get one you like! You're the one that has to stare at it. I personally like the Corsair 300R in it's price range.

Nice PSU.

Also, if you're just gaming an i7 is a little overkill. An i5-4690K is great for gaming if you want to save some money.

Interesting username on pcpartpicker....

This is a well balanced rig that should give 60fps on all games on the highest settings

i did a part lookup on the 212 coolermaster coolers. Right now there is an evo for only about $1 more. That'd be worth it. Its slighly louder but only just a bit. But if the difference is $25 then stay with the cheap one.

Damn, I've never gotten so many answers in such short time, I'll check the coolers you guys have suggested and take a look at elemential's build and of course pick a solution

And thanks LOL I created that nickname to play games with my nephew and it just kinda stuck, getting fans and friends in every game because of this kick ass name

Yes I am at the top of my budget here guys (1400~) and that is the only reason as to why I didn't include an SSD in the build, but o you think it is wise to dump the HDD to get an SSD? I don't, but I ain't no expert

$1400 with SSD. if you're playing games at 1080p it's overkill honestly. A GTX 970 is all you need for that.

The case comes with only one fan right? Is there any fans you recommend to put on this case, and if so, how many?

Dont forget you'll have the PSU fan pulling air out too.

But yes, SSD is a must. 1080P? Then 970, max. But again if you can wait a few weeks that build will change drastically cause of pending releases of new hardware.

I still think your PSU is way to big. I just did a 600W build and still have more than I need. And I have SSD + 4HDD running (760 video card though).

Dont forget the option of mATX now. My build was mATX using a nice board that cost about the same. It has raid, 1150 sound, the works (even a killer NIC)

The PSU is bottom-mounted on the case and does not exhaust air from the case.

The PSU wasn't selected for its power, it was selected because it's a top quality unit for $49.99. It's cheaper than an XFX 550w.

For a quality OC'ing Z97 board mATX really doesn't have any options at this price point.
