Pretty solid all round. I've gone for the 5600x as it's a higher binned part and has twice the L3 Cache as the 5600, which is important for gaming. However the difference in actual FPS maybe just 5% or so. For the extra 15$, that's what I would choose.

For the OS, are you looking for Windows or Linux? There are lots of websites that sell cheap OS's. I'm not suggesting you use these sites as they sit in a grey area of legality. But if you have Windows 10 on another machine you could use that.

Edited for new PSU (Corsair RMX750). Bit stronger and matches well with the 6750.

Yes, I'm aiming to use this for gaming at 1440p. I'm in the USA. I'm open to using any online retailer. I'm not close to a Microcenter.

I'll be going with Windows. Appreciate the help!

Glad to offer advise. Another strong build/options from @Why_Me too to consider.

The 6750 is a great GPU for 1440p. The 5600/x/5700x are stellar CPU's at that res, as the bottleneck will shift mostly to the GPU at that res.

On Windows OS, you might try think about how to obtain it, either directly from MS or through a seller. That one is very much a thing for you to decide on.

That cooler is a bit of good deal. Considering the price and some awful coolers at that price point, that cooler is particularly good. Good review on Tom's for it. It performs very well up to 200w! No mean feat.
