Ok, so I boot up my newly built PC for the first time. I see the bios comes up. It says I have 4080 MB of RAM when I put in two stick of 4 GB RAM. Shouldnt it say 8000 MB instead? It also doesnt list my GPU on there. It says my CPU model but not the GPU. Also My CPU temperature is around 39C and MB is 28C. It does increase though which is scaring me. It increases to like 40C for CPU and 30C MB before increasing 1 degree/10min (approx.). I also smell plastic when the computer boots up. I cant tell if thats normal or not. whenever I have the case open everything inside looks normal. And i have aloot of wires tucked to the side of the case from the PSU as well. Will that be problematic? I also had some wires coiled around each other (i.e. : The case fan wires were coiled around some of the PSU wires because they were to long and I wanted to make it look neat.) I just want to make sure everything is fine. THANKS! This is my first ever build so sorry if I said anything newby :p

True. I suggest you boot up the PC and smell where the smell is coming from directly (what component) so you can be sure.

Kinda hard to narrow it down to a specific piece. I smell it all around

Most probably it's the smell of new PC parts but check the interior of the PC carefully so we know nothing melting in there. Check that you've installed the RAM correcly as the sticks have a hole at the bottom so you can only install it one way (I'm pretty sure you could install it the wrong way around but it'd be wobbly) Does your MoBo use Dual Channel? and check the MoBo instruction booklet it should say wich colored RAM slots you should occupy first.
