Thoughts on this build, particularly the motherboard seeing as I have no clue what i'm looking for there.

I've changed a few things that will save you costs overall but there is no sacrifice in build quality at all. Improvement if anything. The main change is the motherboard though, which for the Z97 chipset is quite high-end. Decent board, if you want keep your build and integrate the board to your list.
