I have a ddr3 motherboard with 8gb of ram. I've tried to add another 8gb of ram today to make it to 16gb from 2 sticks of 4gb but i have an issue where both of these sticks will not work on my PC. I used my previous slots from my old RAM for the new ram i have and it still wouldn't work. As long as the new ram is in my pc, the DRAM red light will be flashing and I will not be able to get a signal on my monitor? Id appreciate help on this

They have to have the same frequency if they don't they might not work... or maybe they both would run at the minimum speed (800.) Take it with a grain of salt and check for their compatibility

I have recently gotten the same model motherboard from e-bay and been working through burn-in issues. My current processor is the i7-3770K. It seems to boot ok with 32 GB of memory; I have 4x 8GB 1600 MHz DIMMS in it. Timing/voltage are 9-9-9-24 1.5 V, but my particular DIMMS aren't in listed as qualified in the mobo doc.
