Question Help with new rx 580 and 144hz monitor no signal

Hello guys, I´m very frustrated right now. First sorry for my english.

Recently bought a XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 1386MHz OC+, 8gb to replace my old 7970 and a Acer ED242QR 144hz.

The new gpu arrived few days early so i tested it with my old monitor with dvi, all was ok, performance was good, temps maybe high.

With the new 144hz monitor i get no dp signal and bios errors:
Displayport = no signal
Dvi = ok
HDMI = bios post error 1 long beep 2 shorts = gpu error, after few seconds pc boots and i get signal and monitor is ok. If i connect the monitor with the pc already running i get signal by hdmi.

Full system specs:
Ryzen 1600
GA-AB350-Gaming 3
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 16GB 2x8GB
XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 1386MHz OC+
FSP Raider 550w
Samsung Evo 860 512G
2 HDDs

So what do you think? bad gpu? bad monitor? both? a rare incompatibility with my system?

IMO, One long and two short beeps, means a Video adapter error. Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly. Try to disconnect your Keyboard for the time being, and then try again.

As a general rule of thumb:, but may not apply to all mobos.

1 short: System boots successfully
2 short: CMOS setting error
1 long, 1 short: Memory or motherboard error
1 long, 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
1 long, 3 short: Keyboard error
1 long, 9 short: BIOS ROM error
Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly...
Continuous short beeps: Power error ....

Are you running the latest bios version?

Also try a different display port cable. It could be anything as long as it is compatible with the monitor.

Things i have tried:
Ensure all cables are well connected.
Ensure gpu is well connected.
Put the gpu in the second pci-e.

Nothing has changed.

The displayport cable is the one that came with the monitor and i don´t have other.
I will upgrade the bios, this bios beeps are so weird that only occur with the hdmi connection.

Hello again,

Upgraded bios, check 2 different hdmi cables, same error beeps at start.
Checked rx 580 with other 2 monitors and they work over hdmi no beeps.
Checked the acer 144hz in other pc over hdmi and it works normally.

So the rx 580 and the 144hz monitor with hdmi beeps 1long 2shorts after that the pc boot correctly and i can use the 120hz, freesync, play games normally...

DVI works, still no signal with displayport, i have to try other cable.

I will try the old hd7970 if does the same.
