Help with Nvidia Drivers

I have Windows 10 and using an Asus 1080ti rog strix and the drivers wont install. I've tried with windows update, geforce experience, and manual install, all failing. here's the window from the manual install attempt http://imgur.com/a/oLuZf

Might it be possible to pass on your full system's specs? Have you made sure your trying to install the drivers in an elevated command?
i.e: Right click installer>Run as Administrator

Another thing to note is to see if your motherboard BIOS is up to date.

Are you using the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Windows 10?

Are you installing the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of the NVIDIA Geforce driver?

1) confirm the monitor is plugged into the graphics card (not the motherboard)

2) use DDU to remove existing drivers:

3) Make sure to use the correct NVidia driver. (i.e. 64-bit Windows 10 if you have a 64-bit version of Windows 10... seems obvious but using 32-bit for example won't work.)


"this version of Windows" seems weird to me.. if still stuck after all this try an older version of the drivers that's still compatible.

That should be the latest version for W10 64-bit.
