Hey everyone, I recently bought a GTX 960 SSC. Now my question is I'm trying to OC the GPU. I'm afraid I might bottleneck the cpu or something I'm not sure. I have a AMD Athlon II x2 250. I cant get FPS past 60fps. I'm happy enough with 60 fps but I'm not sure why other people with the same gpu is getting 250fps on ultra settings and I have to play medium settings to get 60fps. Also should I overclock my gpu or just wait till I upgrade my cpu and mb

Unless you're playing cs:go you arn't gonna get anything more than 60fps with a 960. The 960 is not a high end card. Also your video card is HIGHLY overclocked already. Thats why its called the super superclocked version. Its evga's basically highest overclocked out of the box card they make. Trying to get anymore out of it really is kinda pointless. That card wont play battlefield 4 on ultra and pull 60fps i dont believe so people saying they are getting 250fps with that card must be playing some very low end game that requires a potato to run it.

It won't help, because your GPU is being bottlenecked by your CPU. If you get a new CPU then you'll also get more fps.

But no one gets 250fps on ultra with a 960. You won't even get 250fps in new games at ultra with a 980ti. (If you're on 1080p)
