Help with Overclocking my i7 920 CPU w/ ASUS P6T Motherboard to 4.0 GHz (or more)

Hello after countless hours of struggling I've finally decided that I need community assistance. I've been trying to Overclock my i7 920 2.6 GHz CPU to 4.0 GHz with stable settings but I have failed thusfar. I have gotten blue screens and failures to start up with different settings I've tried which I have found on YouTube or Google. Right now I am at 3.82 GHz 60 degrees celcius idle, in risk of crashing possibly but not due to heat. All I've done is changed the clock speed to 191, nothing else. Anyways now I need help achieving stable 4.0 GHz or higher. Here are my current specs.

I use my computer mainly for max graphic gaming so that's the purpose of overclocking. I noticed a HUGE difference between 2.6 GHz (stock) and overclocked 3+ higher, so now I'm determined to get as much as I can. I also can handle these temperatures since I purchased a new case yesterday and put my computer back together, also upgraded my fan/cooling to liquid colling Corsair H60.

Now the question, what settings should I try next? Help is much appreciated! Sorry if I missed anything.

You're trying to achieve a 50% overclock on chip fabricated using an older 45nm process. Even with a top quality QX9650 (previous generation, same process) I was only able to get about 40% on water. You need to accept the fact that only a small fraction of all chips will reach the 50%+ OC range and that's with stellar cooling (not a shitty H60, sorry).

With that said, your Vcore is a bit high. This drives your temps up, and may increase instability. Try in the 1.35 volt range after you've upgraded your cooling.

If you're a beginner then you really, really need to read the stickies and guides around the forum. If you don't, you'll end up with an i7-920P, where P stands for Paperweight. Overclocking is very much a case of working your way up slowly. It will take several days to a week of testing and incrementing to find the sweet spot.

Okay I have achieved 4.0 GHz without blue screen for like 2 hours or more so far, playing games and everything on max settings. Temperatures are fine. What I did was set my CPU Clock to whatever 3.8 GHz is, which I think is 191 or so and changed my ratio from Auto to 20 or 21 (don't quite remember). The only odd thing is in CPU-Z it says my core speed is 4000 MHz but in my system info it still says 3.8 GHz. Is that normal? Am I good?

1.416 volts is beyond the safe maximum specified by Intel. Be very careful and make sure that you have a good cooler

I see. Well what should I look out for, just the temperatures? Also do you think I can reduce the voltage and still get the same performance? If so, how much should I try? Thanks.
